Beagle - Lizzie - Small - Adult - Female - Dog
Lizzie is a friendly and cute 13" Beagle girl who's approximately 7 years old. She is current on vaccinations, heartworm negative (on preventative), spayed and microchipped.
She's a very playful, affectionate, happy little Beagle that likes people and greets everyone she meets with wiggles and wags! She gets along with other small dogs, but so far hasn't been exposed to cats so we don't know how well she'd do sharing a home with a feline.
Lizzie is an energetic Beagle who enjoys romping in the backyard of her foster home. She definately has the Beagle nose and is quick to pick up a scent. She needs the security of a sturdy, fenced-in yard (not "invisible" or underground fencing) that is 5' or higher if she is going to be allowed off leash. She is a bit of an escape artist so extra care needs to be taken to prevent her from getting loose or she'll be off exploring if given the opportunity! She loves to go for walks and makes the cutest little snorty noise as she snuffles along. She's crate trained but can't handle more than a few hour stretch before she needs go outside to "potty" during the day. She is fine overnight.
Lizzie is a delightful little Beagle that will make a wonderful companion for someone with prior Beagle experience. IMPORTANT: Safe Hounds Beagle Rescue does not operate a shelter where the public can meet our dogs. All of our Beagles are cared for in a loving foster home. Prospective adopters must submit an adoption application and be pre-approved to adopt. Once an applicant is approved, we’ll begin a matching process—the right dog for the right home.
